The United Nations Association of the National Capital Area Human
Rights Committee invites you to Green Justice: The Environment and
Human Rights Lunch & Learn.

Please join us for a conversation on the Environment and Human Rights
with Daniel B. Magraw, President Emeritus and Distinguished Scholar at
the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL), on Wednesday
March 2, 2011 at 12:30 pm at Marrakesh Palace Restaurant (2147 P
Street, NW).

Daniel B. Magraw, President Emeritus and Distinguished Scholar at the
Center for International Environmental Law, is doing pioneering work
to expand the concept of environmental justice to include the notion
that all people, including vulnerable communities, have the right to
equal access to environmental amenities such as safe drinking water,
sanitation, and recreational areas.

An engaging speaker, Daniel Magraw recently received the Louis B. Sohn
Human Rights Award on December 10, 2010, at the annual UNA-NCA Human
Rights Luncheon on Capitol Hill. He was recognized especially for his
contributions to the relationships between environmental protection,
environmental justice, and human rights, as well as for his extensive
advocacy for civil liberties and human rights.

UNA-NCA Members ticket in advance $12.00
Non-Members ticket $15.00
At the door ticket (cash payment only) $15.00
