The best time for the Tweetup was quite clear from the responses received and thanks to our colleagues on the Global Village and Youth Programme teams, we have secured an accessible location with Wifi.

 

Sunday, 22 July, 12:00

Youth Pavilion, Global Village

Use 9^th Street, NW, entrance at M Street with elevators. Gather at the entrance to Hall B  on the concourse level and the group will then be escorted into the Global Village and to the Youth Pavilion.

 

An advantage of this location is that those attending will not have to be registered conference delegates, but they will have to use the entrance above to enter the building.  Also,  since the Global Village does not open until later on Sunday, a staff member will need to escort the group into the Global Village, so best to be on time!

Subject: Gauging interest in a tweetup at AIDS 2012

 

Hi all –

 

I hope and expect many of you are planning to head to DC for AIDS 2012.  I am writing to see if there is interest in having a tweetup prior to the conference as we did in 2010.  If so, there is space available Sunday morning in the Youth Pavilion in the Global Village. Because the  GV won’t be open yet, this will require that a staff person greet folks and escort them in, but it also means that participants will not have to be registered as delegates to participate.
