Hello again everyone!

Spring is on the horizon and it has been another busy month for Aid & Abet. It's an exciting time for us as a bunch of amazing new speakers have joined our growing roster. In addition to that, we are all going to be on the road ourselves this next month, visiting conferences, book fairs, and doing our own events around the Northeast and beyond...

After kicking off a tour in Portland, Jen will be flying to the east coast at the end of this month and will be doing events based on her pamphlet Become the Media: A Critical History of Clamor Magazine (PM Press). From Boston to Philadelphia and New York, she will be joined along the way by past Clamor contributors for discussions about the current state and future of independent media. Folks in St. Louis can also see Jen later in April before the tour ends.

Justine will join her in Boston at the end of March to present a workshop about the work we do--among other things--at this year's Women, Action, and the Media (WAM) Conference. We will all be meeting up a couple weekends later at the third annual New York City Anarchist Book Fair. Come check out all the great radical literature and say hello while you're there!

That's it for our self-promotion as we move along to tell you about all the awesome new clients that have joined us recently...

First, we want to welcome Malik Rahim, former Black Panther and co-founder of Common Ground Relief in New Orleans, which led the grassroots relief effort there after Hurricane Katrina. Malik is available immediately to discuss COINTELPRO, Katrina-style (including FBI informant Brandon Darby, a co-founder of Common Ground Relief); racial currents in post-Katrina New Orleans; and Common Ground Relief’s current projects, including advocacy and legal services, job training, wetlands restoration, and skilled volunteer home rebuilding. Malik's tour will start on the west coast and continue around the U.S. -- don't wait, book him now!

Next up is former Punk Planet editor/publisher and Unmarketable author Anne Elizabeth Moore. Anne has been active in the underground publishing world for over two decades and in addition to teaching feminist self-publishing in Cambodia, she recently founded the Anti-Advertising Agency’s Foundation For Freedom. She's excited to tour the West Coast this June so get in touch to book her at your community art space or infoshop!

And last but not least, joining our roster this month is the Beehive Design Collective. Based in Maine, the Bees travel all over the world doing picture-lectures and workshops based on their collaborative posters depicting celebrations of resistance to neoliberalism. They are currently plotting their tour schedule for the year and would love to organize an event in your area.

Could there possibly be more news to share with you? Well, all of those fantastic speakers we told you about last month are either still on the road or revving up to do events all over the US and Canada...

March is International Women's Month and we have a slew of kick-ass feminist authors and artists who will be touring now and through the rest of the year: Bitch Magazine co-founder Andi Zeisler with her brand new book, Feminism and Pop Culture, Sabrina Chapadjiev doing workshops based on Live Through This--the book she edited about the struggle of women artists to balance creative and destructive forces, and Shira Tarrant and her new book Men and Feminism. Also, check out Cristy Road in April on this year's Sister Spit Tour! Cristy will be do events in the Northeast over the Summer and touring through the South in the Fall. Get in touch now to book her at your college or art space.

In further news, Robert Hillary King will be starting his tour of the Northeast at the beginning of April where he'll be talking about the Angola 3 case and his memoir From the Bottom of the Heap. This is a story not to be missed and an injustice not to be ignored.

And if you're interested in combining radical politics with music we're looking to book gigs for political folksinger Casey Neil on the West Coast next month and on the East Coast in May.

Okay, we're almost done! Amidst this worsening financial crisis it's essential to have alternative voices to explain what's happening and visions for the way things could be. Mark Engler will be offering such an analysis based on How to Rule the World, his book about the shifting state of globalization, when he visits Southern California at the end of May. There's still time to get in touch to set up a talk for him.

That's it...Happy Spring and see you on the road!

Until next month,
Jen Angel, Justine Johnson, and Matt Dineen

PS: Tell your friends about our mailing list and Facebook group to help spread the word about the work we do! Thanks!!
