Food and Yard Waste Collection and Composting
Marcia Rutan and Jerry Bartlett
Marcia Rutan (Community Recycling Specialist, Seattle Public Utilities) is going to focus on yard and food waste collection, giving us the big picture about the program such as different customer types for composting (i.e., single-family residence, commercial, etc.) and answering questions our members often have about what can go into which bin. Jerry Bartlett (General Manager, Cedar Grove Composting) will focus on the processing of collected materials, current and new technologies for composting.
