Israel’s Military Escalation in Gaza
The month of March marked a new wave of Israeli hostilities toward
the besieged Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip. Those
hostilities included tightening the siege and a gradual escalation of
military attacks that have to date killed 11 Palestinians and injured
more than 40.

Israel Campaigns against Gaza-Bound Freedom Flotilla II Planned for
May
Israel launched a public campaign Tuesday (22 March) against the
international organizations planning the Freedom Flotilla II aid
convoy, set to sail to Gaza in May of this year.

BDS Action: Tell Wikimedia Not to Hold 2011 Annual Conference in
Israel!
Wikimania, the annual conference of the Wikimedia community, is
set to be held in Haifa in August. Tell Wikimedia that its mission of
cultivating collaboration and a shared culture cannot be furthered in
a gathering held in an apartheid state that occupies and oppresses
Palestinians!

Palestinian Stabbed by Settler in Tuwani, South Hebron Hills
On the morning of 21 March shortly after 7am, a Palestinian father
of two from the Tuba village was attacked and stabbed near the outpost
of Havat Ma'on in the South Hebron Hills. This is but the latest in an
escalating number of settler attacks against Palestinians,
particularly in this area.

Rachel Corrie Family Requests Observers Attend Upcoming Hearings in
Suit against Israel
After a five month recess, hearings resume Sunday, April 3, in my
family's lawsuit against the Israel Ministry of Defense in the case of
my daughter Rachel Corrie. I am writing with hope that you may be
able to send one or more observers to the upcoming court sessions.

AICVideo: Palestinian Leaders Targeted
A campaign to target Palestinian community leaders and
organizations seems to be underway in Jerusalem. From the unjustified
closure of over 25 community centers to the interrogation and arrests
of various political leaders, Palestinians in East Jerusalem say that
the Israeli authorities are trying to limit the impact of Palestinian
civil society groups in the city.
