Editing internship

[Alternative Information Center]

The Alternative Information Center (AIC), a joint Palestinian-Israeli organization engaged in dissemination of information, political advocacy, grassroots activism and critical analysis, has an editing internship available immediately.

 

Responsibilities

• To edit political articles, analyses, reports and other information disseminated in English by the AIC;
• To liaison with authors and writers to ensure accurate representation of ideas and information presented;
• Additional tasks related to editing and as agreed upon;

 

Person Specifications

*        Experience in English-language editing and writing Preference given for experience in working with texts written by non-native English speakers;

*         English is first language - sorry, no exceptions;

*         Solid knowledge of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict;

*         Ability to work productively with people from throughout the world;

*         Commitment to AIC values and joint Palestinian-Israeli-international work;

 

Location and hours

The position is 35 hours weekly and may be based in either AIC office (Beit Sahour, Jerusalem), although work will be between and encompass both offices.

 

Timeframe, remuneration 

The position is for a minimum of three months and a maximum of six. The internship is available immediately.  A monthly stipend of EUR 200 is available.
