Occupation and deportation policy

Israel commenced a policy of deportation against leaders and activists within the Palestinian political and social communities immediately following the occupation of 1967. This policy, however, didn't end in the immediate post-war period, but continued due to the lack of international will to prevent such a practice, which contravenes Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention. Protection and immunity were provided to Israel in international institutions and by the United States and western Europe, thus encouraging it to continue the policy and practice of deportation.
Israel deports three from Jerusalem

Israeli authorities have deported three Palestinians from their homes in Jerusalem for a period of five months. This is yet another step in Israel's ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem.

The civil case against the Israeli army of American Tristan Anderson, who was critically wounded in 2009 by Israeli border police, begins on Sunday. Anderson was critically wounded when a high velocity tear gas grenade shot by Israeli border police hit his head while he was documenting a protest against Israel's Separation Wall in the West Bank village of Nil'in.

In one of the biggest arrests since this summer's Gaza ceasefire, the Israeli navy arrested 12 Palestinian fishermen off the coast of northern Gaza early Sunday. Their fishing boats and equipment were confiscated by the Israeli authorities.
Settlers uproot 50 olive trees
