Please join the AIASF Historic Resources Committee for a Gilding Workshop.

This gilding workshop has two parts, a lecture on gilding basics followed by a hands-on activity. Participants will learn about different gilding techniques, materials used, causes of gilding failure, and care and maintenance of gilt objects. During the hands-on session, each participant will have an opportunity to gild their own object, which they can take at the end. Materials and tools needed for the activity will be provided to all participants.

The workshop will be run by art conservator Johana Krantz-Moreno, ARG Conservation Services, and architectural conservator Mayank Patel, Architectural Resources Group.
