NBBJ Philanthropic
AIA Seattle General Fund
AIA Seattle has some funds that could be spent to develop some digital
capabilities, especially if these were involved with a series of
events and had potential to generate revenue downstream.
Some ideas that would have a good bang for the buck quotient are:
GO TO MEETING application licenses that could be bought for each of
the regional chapters. These would enable relatively easy video-
conferencing capabilities that could come in handy for the WMIG jury
deliberations. This could also be used by committee chairpersons to
hold virtual meetings on a regular basis with their counterparts in
other chapters.
Some inexpensive hardware/software systems for capturing audio and
video in venues that are not integrally wired to handle these things
easily. The COTE case studies come to mind. These could be good test
cases since they are linked to the WMIG awards and have some revenue
generating potential as web based events with LU's attached (like the
sessions recorded at the AIA convention).
Again, the emphasis is on cost-effective, easily used technologies.
ANY THOUGHTS?
Cheers,
Jack
