I have my work cut out for me, going through the hours of audio
captured throughout the day's events of EMIG 2009, but I'm hoping that
I managed to capture some listenable-quality stuff! While I'm working
on that, something the broader community could help me out with is
finding some good unrestricted (or permission-able) bumper music. I'd
like to find something with some energy and possibly locally
produced. Any closet musicians or friends of actual musicians out
there? Not sure what sound would fit best, but it would be great to
find something that might work for future possible podcasts, should
there be enough momentum!

I'll post more to this thread about the podcast, as it develops!
Thanks // Finn

Sorry I've been MIA for the past couple of weeks. I've finally gotten
around to reviewing the audio we captured from the various WMIG
activities and here's a brief update.

-- Unfortunately the audio from the Q&A session was completely
unusable. Too much room for the tiny little mic.
-- The jury discussion that followed is barely understandable, so I'm
considering writing a transcript of the best bits...not sure whether
that would make a good blog post or maybe if it could be translated
into an article for Forum.
-- The audio from the event itself is *much* better (though I clearly
have much to learn about how to keep levels from peaking). I'm hoping
to take some of the images from the competition submittals and edit
them into create an 'enhanced' podcast with a simple slideshow to go
along with the audio.

If anyone out there knows anyone with audio editing skills (or has
them) I'd love to be put in touch. We'll see how it goes! // Finn
