Hi COTE and WMIG friends...

We're getting down to crunch time for our first phase of WMIG! Lots of
exciting happenings...and more fun to come in June when we'll announce
the winners and celebrate.

Quick note: our meeting this Friday is at Seattle City Hall (Bertha
Knight Landes room) at 12:30 pm—this will focus on setup logistics for
the jury interviews on May 5.

Here are some brief notes from our 4/23 meeting:

- Video recording for 5/4 ... rfp awarded to Trooper Media; venue TBD
- Jury hotel rooms and dinner location TBD
- Still photography for 5/5 ... pro bono photographer secured (Jeff
Caven)
- Jack and Jesse coordinating A/V for 5/5 ... AIA laptops and
extension cords reserved; assembling PPT; audio recording nixed.
- Jury room for morning of 5/5 ... Jared secured SMT room from Peter D
(City of Seattle)
- Ellen confirmed BKL setup with City Hall contact
- Westin setup crew to start at 3:30; gallery to be up and running by
5 pm (Danielle is lead on this)
- NBBJ to print some 11 x 17 posters for Peter Miller, BKL room and
AIA sandwich board (AIA revising postcard design)

WMIG Chairs, Committee and all involved-

Congratulations on an outstanding program today. With the day to day
planning, it is easy to loose sight of what a unique and exceptional
event this is. Imagine bringing together the most creative, innovative,
and sustainable architects, engineers, and building owners for an
intensive dialogue with a world class jury and the public as the
witness. I know it has taken a huge amount of hard work by everyone
involved - particularly Jared and Margaret - to make this day proceed so
smoothly and professionally. Thank you all for your dedication to making
this a great event.
I look forward to celebrating with everyone on June 2.
