I'm posting the final WMIG 2009 call for submissions in the "Files"
section. Per our last meeting, please review this and post your
thoughts here, re areas that need improving. As noted, however, we're
hoping the good work from last year means we only need minor tweaks
this year.

Also, any volunteers to lead this piece of WMIG 2010? Jesse and Doug
specifically mentioned interest during our last meeting. You'd be a
good architect/engineer duo :) other sign-ups from our kick-off: Lisa
Rosenow, Dave Rodgers, David Winans, David Mount, Brian Cloward.

It'd be great to at least have a couple items of debate for our 11/20
meeting. Then perhaps a sub-committee could start to meet if more
micro discussions are needed.

THANKS, Jared.

I am up for reviewing and tweaking the criteria. I reviewed last years
criteria and already have a couple edits and questions that I will
bring along to the 11/20 meeting. Hopefully after that we can nail
down any changes within a smaller sub-committee. Till then...

Thanks to all the criteria folks who have been reviewing and revising
for the better! A quick summary of progress to date:

- Added two criteria (inspiration and communities)
- Designated People - Planet - Prosperity as "domains" (3 large
categories that contain a variety of criteria)
- Made more connections to the national AIA Top Ten Green Projects
requirements
- Simplified and clarified suggested metrics
- Added two prerequisites: EUI and integrated design process (Water
Use Index will be required next year)

Other major updates I've missed? Other thoughts to share?

Please review the most recent file, which will be posted momentarily.
All of this is up for debate at Friday's meeting. After that we'll be
seeking a couple strategic outside reviewers before launching our Call
for Entries on Jan. 25.

Thanks,
Jared

All, Attached is a very rough draft of the "Requirements" - still needs
significant work to call it a draft - plan to do this between Chirstmas and
New Year's. I am unable to attend the committee meeting this morning, so
hoping we discuss comments at the next Criteria Sub-committee meeting. Happy
Holidays, Doug S. @ Eco Engineers (425) 246-0949

P.S. - Magaret, please print a couple copies to pass around at this mornings
meeting (

Hi all,
I'm posting a draft of this year's Call for Entries in the FILES
section for your review. Please post comments here. This is due for
public release on Monday, Jan 25.

I'm also working up an EUI cheat sheet, which will accompany the CFE.
Look for that soon.
