WMIG meeting schedule

Hello WMIG crew!

We'd like to start a bimonthly planning meeting to keep our energy
moving forward. Our plan is for Friday mornings at 8 a.m. (every other
week). The first meeting is slated for 10/30 at NBBJ. This may be our
regular meeting spot, but we'll keep you posted of any changes. We may
not use every single meeting, but at least we have them scheduled to
stay on track.

We've floated this schedule with a few folks and generally heard that
it will work. Please let me know separately if you'll never be able to
make this meeting time: jared.s...@gmail.com

And of course, there will be sub-committee meetings at other times.

Quick reminder that our next WMIG meeting is tomorrow, Friday 10/30 at
8 a.m. at NBBJ.

Here's a rough agenda:
- Review of recent happenings, priority tasks at hand, intended
process, draft timeline, and other big-picture themes (15 mins)
- Sub-committee break-outs (15)
- Sub-committee reports (15)
- Full committee discussion (15)

We'd also like to identify a champion for each sub-committee (i.e.,
criteria, jury, event and legacy).

Two WMIG reminders for next week: jury sub-committee meeting on
Monday, 12/14, at 9 at Espesso Vivace (downstairs from NBBJ); and full
committee meeting on Friday, 12/18, at 8 at NBBJ.

Apologies for the late notice ... we've decided to postpone tomorrow
morning's meeting until next week. So our next meeting is Friday, Feb.
12, 8 a.m. at NBBJ.

Quick reminders ...

- please tentatively save Tuesday, March 23 (probably 4-6 p.m.) for a
review of submittals (we will do a quick quality check of all
submittals before they're sent to the jury)

If you have time tomorrow (TUE, 3/23, 4 p.m.), please join us at the
AIA Seattle office to review the WMIG 2010 submittals. We'll be
ensuring that the projects have met minimum requirements before
passing them onto the jury. We'll have some light snacks and maybe a
drink or two. Hope to see you there. More of you means a faster review
process.

Re, tomorrow's WMIG project reviews, please bring a laptop if you're
able. We may review these online in small groups. We'll have a
checklist ready for you ...

It's that time again! We could really use a good committee turn-out
this Friday (4/9) at NBBJ at 8 a.m. We have many updates and lots of
logistics to hash out. We will assign some tasks on various fronts, so
please come ready to chat about your favorite item:

- Jury arrival and dinner, including video options (May 4)
- Jury interviews (May 5, logistics & marketing)
- June 2 reception (program, AV, catering, marketing)
- overall program PR
- items I've forgotten at this late hour...
