Hi Kaitlyn, Thanks so much for taking on the task of Graphic Design for Rising Talent Honorees Logo! The basic prompt: The Basic Prompt: Create a logo for AIA's new program honoring rising talent. Where you (Kaitlyn) come in (for the first pass DUE 9/8): Recreate the logo on Slide 1 so that the lettering can be rearranged in Canva. Currently, it's all one image, but Saira wants to be able to go in and make adjustments to the spacing. Our last graphic designer imported everything in from illustrator, which is why everything is one single image. They used a Poppins Medium sans serif font (the same font and weight as the AIA logo). Here are the PNGs of the AIA logos they used: Text + Symbol It's okay if it's not absolutely a 1:1 recreation! Remember, the spacing is going to get messed around, so as long as you get the fonts and logos correct, it will be all good. Hyperlinked examples are for clarifying format, not style: Solo Announcement Post Honorees Board with full list Awards Logo (for honorees to post like, "I'm one of the honorees!") Horizontal Blog Banner Graphic (this, but better) These deliverables just require a pretty simple framework setup in Canva. Once we solidify the logo, it's just a matter of placing empty squares for possible photos in a lineup. Please let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for getting the logos put together so quickly! They look great and are exactly as we need them until Saira and Alice get a chance to play around with the spacing. Until then, you can consider that part of this project finished-- great job!

For the upcoming Sunday 9/15 @ 11:50 PM PT. For that deadline, could you begin putting together layout options for the Solo Announcement Post? 

There's a linked example to the format we're looking for in the launch email (The Nina Ann Nelson one). For context, the purpose of this logo project is for an upcoming AIA award Lexie wants to put together (details are preliminary, but generally an award AIA wants to create and bestow).

We're looking for the following qualities in a Solo Announcement Post:

• Square canvas
• 4:3 vertical headshot photo
  

• The simpler the better, but feel free to play around with various graphic elements. There are some early ideas of this on Slide 8 in Canva. These aren't bad, just not workable in Canvas (same problem with the other logos imported from Illustrator). We're looking more for layout than design at the moment, so this should be a pretty light lift for the upcoming week, but feel free to begin experimenting with design if you have the time.

Hey Kaitlyn!

Review 1 is in! Saira has approved the logo and left a note on the Solo Announcement Post in Canva. All that's needed is to change the logo on one of the SAP templates!

Once you change the logo, let's get started on the Awards Logo. It''s like a "stamp" logo that implements the text logo for people to put on their website, resume, or social media to be like, "Look, I'm an honoree!"

Lexie linked the Olivier Awards as an example of how "fancy" and "elevated" it should be. Another good example to look at would be The Rookies. There's not a specific vision on what this Awards Logo should look like, so feel free to experiment and play around with shape and layout!

Hey Kaitlyn,

Lexie loves the direction! Her notes are:

• FANTASTIC
• remove "presents" in logo, compare with current iteration and see what the team likes
• Play with different text color options; Lexie wants to have a few options on hand

She didn't give any direction on the text color, so it may help to go in a few different directions. I'd recommend doing ombre options, like this color option from Slide 28 in the Canva document:

Saira noted that this particular one wasn't quite right since she wanted to stay truer to the teal/blue of AIA. 

For this Sunday, since we're a few days out from the usual Wednesday feedback morning, have a pass at the following:

• Remove "presents" in logo, restage before and after options for leads to choose between
• Provide at least 2-3 ombre color options for the Rising Talent Honorees text logo
• Feel free to play around with other colorways and palettes if the spirit moves you-- Lexie doesn't seem to have a preference
• BONUS (only if you have extra time): Sketch pass of Awards Logo based on Saira's comment on Slide 7

• The main objective from Lexie: Create an eye-catching banner we can put on our website about these honorees
  
• Let's stick to the dimensions of Lexie's example: 1000x600 pixels (10.641 x 6.384 inches)
• Since it's going on our website, there's no specific size it needs to be. If you find a different horizontal banner ratio works better for you, go for it
  
• I think we can do better than the design linked; go buck wild, let your imagination soar-- I give you total creative freedom

Sorry for the late update (4P Program prep is really kicking off right now!), but you're good to begin addressing feedback in Canva. Saira has left most of the relevant comments there, but in general:

• Honorees Board: Round out photo frames (try rounded square AND circle options)
• Once we nail the Symbol Logo, we can try different layouts with it
  
• Symbol Logo: Try a pass of the rounded stamp option Saira pointed out. 
• Not 100% sure what "animation-related" replacement we can do for the leaves. Perhaps art supplies (like pencils or something? Bit of a weak suggest from me, feel free to stretch your creativity here)
  
• Web Banner: Go with option 4 so we can implement the Rounded Logo Stamp

The next deadline is Sunday, October 20 @ 11:59PM PT. Really appreciate your great and consistent work on this project! I hope it's not too tedious of a project for you T.T
