The AI4LAM Speech-to-Text Working Group invites you to its next meeting on Tuesday, June 24 at 09:00 US-Pacific | 12:00 US-Eastern | 17:00 UK | 18:00 Central Europe | 03:00 +1 Canberra.

We will continue our discussion from last month about transcript provenance metadata.  As in our May meeting, we will focus on FADGI's Guidelines for Embedding Metadata in WebVTT Files and our group’s attempt to design a more extensive set of elements, called Transcript Provenance Metadata Elements (TPME).

We’ll run this meeting as series of discussions, covering the following topics:

  • Interoperability between FADGI Embedded WebVTT and TPME
  • Use of transcript metadata in procurement processes with 3rd-party vendors
  • Scope of transcript metadata: for captions, translations, transcribed audio descriptions, diarizations, etc.
  • Questions about particular TPME elements.
  • TPME schema formalization and validation: Is that desirable?
  • Paths to schema standardization and a working group recommendation

Please join us!

Cheers,
Owen (on behalf of the Speech-To-Text WG conveners)
