Free online Annif tutorial at SWIB25 (17th November)

The 17th Semantic Web in Libraries Conference (SWIB25) takes place 17-19 November 2025! SWIB25 is an online event and free of charge.

We'll be hosting our workshop on the Annif automated subject indexing tool on Monday Nov 17th (17:00–21:00 UTC, Americas time slot).  If you're interested in hearing and learning more about Annif, please see the workshop page and register by following the instructions on the registration page. We will discuss Annif and go over the Annif tutorial material available on GitHub. 

Please note that the tutorial materials, including videos and exercises, should ideally be studied and completed prior to the workshop itself. This will allow us to dedicate more time to troubleshooting, questions, and discussions during the session.

Note also that the National Library of Finland is organizing a workshop called “From chaos to Skosmos: publishing controlled vocabularies made easy”, featuring Skosmos, the open-source web-based vocabulary browser and publishing tool for SKOS vocabularies. The date is the same, Nov 17th, but the timeslot is Europe (8-12 UTC).
