Hi AI4LAM Community,

We invite chapter proposals for an upcoming edited volume, Practical Applications and Case Studies for AI-Augmented Library Operations, to be published by IGI Global.

This volume focuses on real-world applications of artificial intelligence in library operations, highlighting how AI is being used to improve workflows, reduce manual work, and enhance service delivery.

We welcome proposals from practitioners and researchers working with AI in areas such as:

  • Access services and resource sharing

  • Collections and acquisitions

  • Metadata and cataloging

  • Digitization and digital collections

  • Research data services

  • Assessment, analytics, and administrative workflows

  • Staff training and organizational change

  • Integration of AI tools into library systems

  • Implementation challenges, risks, and lessons learned

Proposal deadline: May 17, 2026
Full chapters due: August 9, 2026
