AU & ANZ regional chapter for AI4LAM 2025 webinars lined up.
🧑🏫Register: ACMI AI Ambassadors Program, Wed 30th April, 10:00am AEST Jeff Williams (ACMI) spoke at the Fantastic Futures 2024 conference about the AI Ambassadors awareness program ACMI instituted in the context of their institutional remit to collect and exhibit moving image media. The role of an ambassador is educational; to support greater understanding of how AI works through regular discussion and hands-on experimentation from a wide range of people. In 2025 the program was reworked and staff facilitating awareness raising are now termed “investigators” rather than ambassadors. The change in name highlights a keen emphasis on the importance of engagement and discovery in building understanding of AI aligned with their four principles: educate, experiment, debate, deliberate. Jeff will speak in more detail about the program, continuous learning, and ACMI’s interest in enabling other organisations to learn from their experience.
