Title: Archival Images of AI: creating alternative narratives about AI

Presenter: Rasa Bočytė, Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid  
The language, visuals and metaphors we use to describe AI are not neutral or inconsequential - cliches of white robots and glowing brains create hype, fear and unrealistic expectations.  But what is the alternative? How can we as the AI4LAM community be more responsible in communicating about AI? In this talk, Rasa will introduce the Archival Images of AI playbook - a guide to creating more realistic and inclusive visual communication about AI with the help of digital cultural heritage collections.
