The AI4LAM Speech-to-Text Working Group invites you to its next meeting on Tuesday, February 24 at 09:00 US-Pacific | 12:00 US-Eastern | 17:00 UK | 18:00 Central Europe | 03:00 +1 Canberra.

We will have two main topics this week.

The first is on transcript alignment.  This answers a problem many of us frequently face:  You have a perfectly correct transcript, but it has no timestamps.  Mark Boas (CTO of TheirStory) will be explaining and giving a demo of a new tool for time alignment of transcripts.

Second, we will continue planning and work began in our last meeting, on creation of a guide for decision-making and best practices for speech-to-text in the LAM community.  Our session last month was very productive, and we'll try to keep the momentum going.

Anyone with an interest in transcription and/or captioning of audio is very welcome!  If you've never been to one of our calls before, this next one would be a great time to come learn about the group.
