The AI4LAM Speech-to-Text Working Group invites you to its next meeting on Tuesday, June 23, at 09:00 US-Pacific | 12:00 US-Eastern | 17:00 UK | 18:00 Central Europe | 03:00 +1 Canberra

This month we will return to the topic of transcript metadata.  Our draft specification for Transcript Provenance Metadata Elements has remained stable for months.  Before publishing an official version, let's have one last look at it.  In advance of this meeting, please scan the current draft and leave comments regarding any issues (however small or speculative) that come to mind.  The current draft is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dIJbvaySKgJHiNOorqIMV89tjz0caEEjt3HzNqpMtbk

With any remaining time in our meeting, we'll continue developing our guide to best practices and decision-making for speech-to-text in libraries, archives, and museums.  We can integrate observations from last month's discussion of file formats and identify next steps for the guide.  Our working outline is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zK1GWuVSKQ-o7vVr53YoI2SZwX9kMB0rA8PuJHLPHlc

As always, anyone interested in captions, transcripts, or ASR is welcome.  So, please join us!

Cheers,
Owen
(on behalf of the Speech-to-Text WG conveners)
