I downloaded the v1.4.6 personal Server but I am unable to find any installation docs with the download. I want to build AI Apps locally and as I understand it this will allow for that task.
Any guidence to the install instructs would be appreciated.
Thank You
Les

Your timing is !!! (but a wee bit sooner than we are ready for). We are working on a new set of instructions for installing and will be adding the instructions to the various ai4a 'places' in the next few days (but not today :-().

The short story

make sure you have a good Java JDK (java -version)
make sure you have JAVA_HOME set correctly (echo %JAVA_HOME%)

then you go to ...\AppEngine and click on startAI.cmd
and go to ...\BuildServer and click on launch-buildserver.cmd (or launch-buildserver32.cmd if you have a 32 bit OS)

and go to localhost:8888 in your browser and follow the instructions to app inventing joy

if things go less well, let us know here what happened.

I spent a day yesterday and this morning trying to do something like that for building >5Mb
and failed
over and over :-)

Good job.

Hmmm
You should tell people to use V1.4.6.zip, not that test version.

!!!!!!!!!

It is ai4 ALL and that helps.

!!!

It makes me glad to have someone jump in and help. I wonder about why I am spending my time on ai4a
and then someone comes along like you and reminds me of ai4A and the all.

My thanks to all that help, commenting here, spreading the word, writing documentation,
and any other way you help.

In the file V1.4.6 There are 2 Build Server Commands.  Build server and a Build Server32.. Is the BuildServer  the 64 version?
The video is great

TaiFun, I appreciate the guidance and help you have provided. This was very easy to install once I had the boards assistance.
I did an app and went to open the Blocks Editor. I get "Verifying Application" window but then I get an Unable to launch window.
I have attached the Details screen. Any help is appreciated.

try, if deleting the cache of your browser and restarting the browser helps

I tried clearing Cashe and then tried on both FireFox and IE and got the same results, would not load the Block editor.
I then tried to go in again and got "File Server busy"
Since this is running locally, What do I have to start before I go to the http://localhost:8888? Do I do Start AI every time or just after booting the computer?
Thanks
Les

I may be jumping the gun here but I tried to do a build without any blocks and get an error. Build failed - Cannot contact the Build Server at local host.
Thought this might add a clue..
