Dear Colleagues,

We are looking to recruit three Research Associate/Fellows to the School of Computer Science to enhance our successful and growing department and contribute to a new £6.5M research programme in “Somabotics: Creatively Embodying Artificial Intelligence”, funded by UKRI and led by Professor Steve Benford.

We seek to appoint three research fellows, one in each of the following areas: (we are interested in candidates whose expertise spans multiple areas):

  • RF 1: Creative AI, for example models that enable interactive touch and live improvisation.
  • RF 2: Soft robotics and interactive materials to augment robot and human bodies.
  • RF 3:  Artist-led methods in HCI and embodied HCI, for example soma design.

See our recruitment microsite Somabotics at Nottingham .

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Professor Steve Benford (steve....@nottingham.ac.uk) Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.

Best wishes,
