Activities
The postdoctoral fellow will work on the development of computer vision and SLAM systems applied to agricultural environments. Activities include multimodal sensor integration for georeferenced 3D reconstruction, production and annotation of datasets for spatial AI, and semantic segmentation of environmental elements considering seasonal and phenological crop variations.
Mandatory requirements
PhD in Computer Science or related field; proven experience in deep learning for computer vision (object detection, tracking and/or segmentation); proficiency in Python and PyTorch or TensorFlow; familiarity with Linux and shell tools; proficiency in technical English; availability for short field trips (2–7 days) in Brazil. Candidates who have not obtained their doctoral degree by September 2026 will not be considered.
Desirable
Experience with SLAM systems; familiarity with ROS; scientific typesetting in LaTeX; publications in indexed journals or computer vision/robotics conferences.
Conditions
FAPESP postdoctoral fellowship: R$ 12,570/month (approx. USD 2,475 at current rates) + 10% annual Technical Reserve. Duration: 12 months, renewable for an additional 12. Open to Brazilian and international applicants.
