Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions to the AAAI-26 Bridge Program on
Combining AI and OR/MS for Better Trustworthy Decision Making
Singapore, January 20–21, 2026
Held as part of the AAAI-26 Conference
About the Bridge
This Bridge brings together two historically distinct but deeply complementary communities—Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Operations Research / Management Science (OR/MS)—to advance trustworthy decision making in complex, real-world environments.
While AI contributes powerful capabilities for learning, forecasting, and reasoning, OR/MS provides rigorous optimization, simulation, and systems thinking. Together, these fields can deliver reliable, transparent, and impactful decision-making pipelines.
Our goal is to foster cross-disciplinary education, collaboration, and research between these communities.
Topics of Interest
We invite contributions on (but not limited to):
Integration of AI and OR/MS methods for decision intelligence
Trust, robustness, and explainability in hybrid decision systems
Generative AI for democratizing optimization and modeling
Benchmarking, datasets, and challenge problems for AI–OR/MS collaboration
Applications in healthcare, logistics, supply chains, and resource allocation
Program Format
The Bridge will feature:
Tutorials introducing OR/MS for AI practitioners and AI methods for OR/MS practitioners
Keynote talks by leading experts
Case studies showcasing successful cross-disciplinary applications
Poster and short-talk sessions for contributed work
Blue-sky and breakout sessions on future research directions
Participation
Researchers, practitioners, and students from AI, OR/MS, and related fields are warmly encouraged to participate.
We particularly welcome early-career researchers, students, and those with cross-disciplinary interests.
