Hi,

Just starting a new thread on Robotics.

I'm also interested by the topic. However, I think it's important to
focus on simple hardware to get started if we want everyone to work on
the the same version of the code. That's why I suggested Mindstorms
since they're pretty standard in Universities, not too expensive and
already include sensors, a large code base and simple ways to
communicate with PC's.

Are we going to start threads on every sugestion? so people can work on the things they are interested in? or are we going to make a survey so we can decide on what to work all of us together?

I agree that a survey is a good idea - it gives us options to pick from. Early on it would be good to work on small problems that we can collectively finish in a week so that we can get a feel for who is serious about actually working on problems.
