to AI Manager
Hello everyone,
As we get closer to the next AI Manager release, I wanted to share a simple update about the work done over the last four weeks.
A lot has happened behind the scenes, but the goal has been very clear: make the game more stable, improve the live match experience, and refine many small details that make a football manager game feel better day after day.
The biggest area of work has been the live match system.
We improved the reliability of live matches in several ways. Live sessions are now safer, better protected against crashes or interruptions, and more consistent when the game has to save or restore match data. We also fixed issues related to deadlocks, memory usage, stuck requests, and situations where some match actions could create wrong or confusing results. In simple terms: live matches should now feel much more solid.
At the same time, we worked a lot on match realism.
Penalty kicks, extra time, VAR-related situations, substitutions, and goal attribution have all been improved. We fixed cases where the wrong player could be shown as the scorer, improved extra-time messages, and made shootouts behave in a more natural way. We also corrected some goalkeeper-related situations, so goalkeepers are less likely to appear in actions where they should not be involved. These are the kinds of details that may look small on paper, but they make the match flow feel much more believable.
Another important area has been team management and match preparation.
We expanded the impact of team spirit, coach style, captain influence, age balance, and lineup choices. There is now more feedback around how your tactical style and squad setup affect your team before a match. We also added better summaries in key areas like the transfer centre and the pre-match opponent overview, so it is easier to understand your situation at a glance.
The transfer and squad-management side also received many fixes and refinements.
We corrected loan limits, improved early loan termination handling, fixed issues in the CPU transfer market, and refined contract-renewal timing. There were also fixes for squad saving, player numbers, substitution position selection, and several lineup edge cases. On top of that, the player database itself was cleaned up to remove thousands of duplicated identity conflicts, which helps the world feel more coherent.
We also introduced a new in-game news addition: Nova News on the dashboard.
This is part of a broader effort to make the game world feel more alive and connected, with better news presentation and more flavor around what is happening in your save.
A lot of work was also done on performance and technical foundations.
The internal process system has been improved to better isolate heavy tasks, reduce queue problems, and avoid unnecessary slowdowns. We added stronger monitoring and a more advanced analytics engine to help track requests, logs, and resource usage. This is not the most visible part of the update, but it is very important because it helps us build a stronger base for future versions.
Finally, many bugs were fixed across the project.
That includes issues with live UI states, save consistency, combo selection behavior, player ages, fitness calculations, transfer-centre regressions, and several automated tests. There has been a lot of polishing work, and that matters just as much as new features when preparing a release.
So, in short, the last four weeks have been focused on three things:
- making live matches more reliable
- making match events and team management more realistic
- strengthening the technical base for the next release
We are getting closer to a version that is not only bigger, but also more stable and more enjoyable to play.
Thanks again to everyone following the project, testing the game, and sharing feedback. Your support really helps shape AI Manager, and I’m excited to show you the next version soon.
See you in the next update, expected within 10 days !
