Hello everyone,

I would like to clarify a question that many players have asked recently regarding real teams and real players in AI Manager.

At the moment, AI Manager cannot include official real players and licensed real clubs because using those names, identities, and databases requires licenses and agreements that usually involve significant costs.

As an independent project developed with limited resources, we currently do not have the funding needed to purchase and maintain these kinds of licenses.

I wanted to be transparent about this because many people asked if real databases would arrive in future updates.

However, this does not mean that the game experience has to become less interesting. One of the goals of AI Manager is to create its own football world where players can discover hidden talents, build stories, develop young players, and create their own football journey.

Personally, one of the things I always loved in old football manager games was finding unknown players and watching them become stars. I would like AI Manager to keep some of that feeling and magic as well.

Thank you all for your questions, support, ideas, and passion. The community is helping shape the future of AI Manager every day.

I respect your opinion, but I don’t agree with the decision not to include real teams and players in the game. From the research I’ve done, licensing issues usually become a problem mainly when official player face images and other protected visual assets are used. Since you are an independent developer and the game is not generating profit, I believe the situation is different.

Personally, I find it very difficult to become interested in a football game where all teams and players have generic names. It feels like an alternate universe that is completely disconnected from real football.

One possible solution would be to create an in-game editor that allows the community to create and share real teams and players themselves. That way, the content would come from the community rather than being officially included in the game, which could help avoid direct licensing issues for you as the developer.

Hello,

Really enjoying my current save with AI manager, I am fc gaursainon in englands bottom league. I signed every 16 and 17 year old free playerrated 75 or lower. We are currently top of the league and have won every game so far. I hav also changed the layers names to friends of mine which makes me enjoy the experience even more. My aim is to try and get up all the leagues with a young team as quickly as possible and continue finding good young players who can be developed.

Best wishes.

Ian McNamara
