Hi all,

If you work with geospatial data, I invite you to attend the Cloud-Native Geospatial Forum (CNG) Conference 2025! This inaugural annual event will take place April 30 – May 2, 2025, in Snowbird, Utah, and is your opportunity to connect with the cloud-native geospatial community, explore the latest advancements, standards, and trends in geospatial data, and learn from others (especially if you would like to modernize your geospatial data workflow).

Not sure what cloud-native geospatial is? Check out this guide.

Call for Presentations – Share Your Expertise! We’re looking for speakers to share insights and innovations across all levels—from helping newcomers navigate cloud-native workflows, to showcasing real-world applications, to bridging the gap between scientific advancements and practical solutions.. Submit your proposals for talks across the following tracks:

  • On-ramp to Cloud-Native Geospatial Data: Capacity building for professionals who are new to working with cloud-native formats and workflows. (Newbie)

  • Cloud-Native Geospatial in Practice: Best practices, cost savings, and innovation enabled by the adoption of cloud-native technologies throughout our community. (Practitioner)

  • The Bridge Between Science and Technology: Finding ways to ensure that scientific advances are applied to real-world problems at scale. Creating new cultures of open science, improving metadata standards (e.g. ARD, shared schemas and identifiers), and solving data licensing issues. (Executive)
