The AI in Education Google Group was established on January 4th, 2023 to foster conversations and collaborations around the impact of artificial intelligence on teaching and learning.

Community Goals

Build connections and foster collaboration among educators interested in the impact of AI on teaching and learning
Support development of resources to guide AI use at all levels from individual courses to institution-wide policies
Encourage sharing of practical resources for educators such as AI-related assignments and assessment practices
Consider the impact of AI on diversity, equity, and inclusion in education
Consider the impact of AI on privacy and related ethical issues in education

Community Guidelines

Engagement and Etiquette: Debate and curiosity are welcome, and members are free to share thoughts or ideas that are a work in progress. Critiques should be directed at ideas, not people. Activities that undermine our group goals of mutual care, respect, and support may result in suspension of posting privileges and/or removal from the group. Hate speech of any kind will result in immediate removal from the group.
Self-promotion: Please give more than you take. Members who use the group primarily as a tool for self-promotion may be removed. Please see our policy on vendor promotion here.
Relevance: Posts should have some connection to AI in education. Posts about tools and practices that help educators automate tasks or work more efficiently are also permitted. Before posting, please search existing posts to see if a similar topic has already been discussed.
