Can we prepare e- TDS rerurn and upload directly without help from any facilitator as explained in this manual?? It will do away with unnecessary trips to the facilitator to upload return every quarter and will allow us better control over the process.

Dr. Naveen, great going. Yes, as per the manual, we should be able to upload the TDS ourselves. Let's break the entire nut starting this quarter. Keep the spirit high and never give up until we succeed.. :o)

Those who are using Khajane-2 may use this TDS upload option; since
they are issued with a DSC. Others, run to the Facilitation Center to
upload the TDS :o)

No, they can't. That DSC is different, can't be used for return upload. That DSC is valid for 18 months only.

Any DSC comes with a validity. It would better be integrated with AADHAR linked digital signature option, which is free and needs no renewal.

But the question is , will TIN website accepts it as a valid DSC for return upload or not.

The DSC issued for K2 is one from safescrypt, https://www.safescrypt.com/  and it's listed in approved DSC providers of TIN site. I too have a DSC from this site as I submitted documents needed for K2 implementation and DSC was allotted. I downloaded it , but can't use it to login for K2 as it has to be embedded in required hardware.

Here in my Tq too K2 has not started.

From https://www.tin-nsdl.com/etds-etcs/etds-onlineintro.php

The DSC can be procured from the following Certifying Authorities (CA) / Sub Certifying Authorities.

Certifying Authorities

Institute of Development & Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT)
SafeScrypte-
Mudhra(n)Code Solutions

Note :-

Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) based users are required to comply with the following pre-requisites with respect to the system configuration of the client machines:

JRE version : Oracle JAVA (32-bit) 1.6 update 29 or aboveClient Operating system : Windows XP Professional service Pack 3 , Windows 7I.E browser version supported : 7,8,9 and 10.SafeNet e-Token drivers used should be the latest (if applicable).

I think if you experiment a bit, you can put the DSC you have to use and upload TDS online. Give it another try by complying to the tech specs outlined. Keep us posted :o)
