SUBJECT:             CR 455 Extension Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study, from

                                Schofield Road to Hartwood Marsh Road in southeast Lake County

                                Public Hearing #2 on October 27, 2020

 

 

 

Dear Property Owner and/or Stakeholder,

 

On behalf of Lake County, you are invited to the Public Hearing #2 for the CR 455 Extension Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate proposed transportation solutions on new alignment from Schofield Road to Hartwood Marsh Road in southeast Lake County. The project length is approximately 4.7 miles.

 

The public hearing will be held as an agenda item as part of the Lake County Board of County Commissioners meeting scheduled on Tuesday, October 27th, 2020 at the Lake County Administration Building in the Board Chambers (2nd floor), located at 315 W. Main Street, Tavares, Florida 32778. The County Commission meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the public hearing to be held after that time as determined by the Board meeting agenda. The hearing will focus on the Recommended (Build) Alternative. The No-Build Alternative will also be presented. Notices are being sent to all property owners and tenants located within at least 300 feet on either side of the proposed recommended project as well as to other elected leaders, government agencies, and individuals interested in the project.

 

Due to limited occupancy for social distancing, we recommend interested persons to attend the public hearing virtually via Zoom with a computer or smart device. All information regarding the Board meeting and how to participate in virtual meetings is available on the Lake County Board of County Commissioners Agendas and Meetings website at the following link: https://lakecountyfl.gov/board_agendas/board_agendas_and_actions.aspx

The Zoom link and the call-in number to the Board meeting will also be available at the website link listed above on the day of the presentation.

 

The CR 455 presentation will be available on the project website (cr455extensionstudy.com) after the Board meeting.

 

Oral statements can be made during the designated time during the public hearing. In addition, persons wishing to submit written comments, in place of or in addition to oral statements, may do so at the hearing or by sending them to George Gadiel, Project Manager, by either email (gga...@lakecountyfl.gov) or by mail (323 N. Sinclair Avenue, Tavares, FL 32778). All written statements emailed or postmarked by November 6, 2020 will become a part of the Public Hearing record.

 

Draft environmental and engineering reports will be available for review at the following locations:

1.       Cooper Memorial Library, 2525 Oakley Seaver Drive, Clermont, FL 34711;

2.       Lake County Public Works, 323 N. Sinclair Avenue, Tavares, FL 32778; and

3.       The study website – www.cr455extensionstudy.com.
