Thank you to all the people who are supportive of cleaning up Lake Avalon!  Next week, Winston's friend is coming to do a thorough analysis of the needs and give us a formal written estimate.  We'll see what he comes up with.

 

And we have a great idea from Jack Fortson to tell you about, too!  This would be a way to take care of our shorelines and out somewhat into the water.  There are two items looking promising.  They are the floating weedeater (http://www.foryourshore.com/index.cfm?carttoken=5E4W1ST050712064440&action=ViewDetails&ItemID=91&Category=29 ) ,  and the BeachBuddy lake rake (http://www.foryourshore.com/index.cfm?carttoken=5E4W1ST050712064440&action=ViewDetails&itemid=89 ).  Check out these links - they have descriptions plus videos of them in action.

 

Jack is willing to front the cost of these two items, if a number of us (and/or the AHPOA) would be willing to chip in on the cost.  The two items would then belong to "us", and we could take turns using them from our shorelines.

 

Who is willing to chip in, and how much?  I'll start; I'm willing to chip in $100 towards this.

 

Let me/us know!  The sooner we get moving on this, the sooner we'll get our lake back under control.  Thanks!
