Senator Rene Garcia is Chair of the Senate Committee on Health Regulation.  Senate Bill CS/SB 820 is sitting and waiting for Sen. Garcia to place it on the committee agenda.  This bill must be placed on the agenda this week in order for the bill to be considered by the Health Committee the week of January 30-Feb 3.  This bill must pass out of this committee immediately for it to move forward to the next committee and an eventual floor vote.

 

Time is critical.  Remember, session ENDS the end of February!!!!!  This is the septic system inspection bill we have worked on so hard with Senator Dean and with Representative Dorworth in the House.  Please contact Senator Garcia immediately:

Dear Senator Garcia,  I urge you to place CS/SB 820 on the Health Committee agenda.  This bill is extremely important to more than two million citizens of Florida .  It is a fair, effective and affordable means for all septic system owners and their local governments to participate in a septic system inspection program.  It is designed to help us protect our property values and at the same time, provide a to a real benefit to the environment that even the EPA approves.

Please place CS/SB 820 on your committee’s agenda for an immediate hearing.  We urge you to help us get this issue resolved this year.
