Don’t Miss: Infodemic Management Webinar July 8

Dear Felix,

Nigeria is at a critical moment in advancing reforms to ensure there is “More Healthcare for More Nigerians”. Despite progress, health financing remains fragmented, with over 70% of health spending still borne by households out-of-pocket. It is time to reimagine a future where financing is pooled better, expanded better, and governed better.

The Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, with partners, invites you to the National Health Financing Policy Dialogue:
Date: Monday 1st – Thursday 4th September 2025
Venue: Transcorp Hilton, Abuja
Theme:
Re-imagining Health Financing in Nigeria

This high-level convening will bring together policymakers, state actors, private sector leaders, development partners, civil society, and academics to:

  • Reposition health financing as a sovereign investment agenda central to Nigeria’s economic and human capital strategy.
  • Strengthen domestic and innovative financing mechanisms under the Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (HSRII) and SWAp Compact.
  • Facilitate dialogue on transitioning from aid dependency to sustainable, homegrown financing solutions.
Key Themes:
  • Establishing Accountability Mechanisms for Healthcare Financing
  • Unlocking Private Sector Investments in Health
  • Turning Health Commitments into Tangible Impact
  • Strategic Health Investments in an Era of Transition

This dialogue is not just another talk shop but a strategic move towards building a compact for action to ensure that every Nigerian has access to affordable, quality healthcare.
Register now to secure your spot here.
We look forward to your participation in shaping the future of health financing in Nigeria.
Warm regards,
Nigeria Health Watch Team
Thank you.
