ED Attends ACB NextGen Experts Workshop (Le directeur exécutif de l'AfHEA participe à l'atelier des experts NextGen de l'ACB)

This is to inform you of the NextGen Experts Workshop organized by the African Constituency Bureau (ACB) of the Global Fund dubbed, “African Position on Global Fund NextGen Market Shaping Strategy and Local Manufacturing”.

This high-level two-day workshop, which takes place in Johannesburg, South Africa from February 23 to 24, 2023, will have AfHEA represented in the person of the Executive Director, Prof. John E. Ataguba.

Day 1 of the workshop will have key remarks from representatives of the African Union, AUDA-NEPAD and ACB with the official opening by the South Africa Minister of Health, Dr. Mathume Joseph Phaahla. Panel discussions with UNITAID, WHO, AFDB and UNAIDS representatives as well as group discussions will center around local manufacturing in Africa and the four approaches of Global Fund’s NextGen Market Shaping Strategy.

Day 2 of the workshop continues with plenary presentation of findings from group discussions and the review of the draft position statement on Global Fund NextGen Market Shaping Strategy, ending with the reading of the final statement by Next Steps Africa Constituency.

Ce message a pour but de vous informer de l'atelier d'experts NextGen organisé par le Bureau africain de circonscription (BAC) du Fonds mondial, intitulé " Position africaine sur la stratégie de façonnage du marché NextGen du Fonds mondial et la fabrication locale ".

Cet atelier de haut niveau de deux jours, qui aura lieu à Johannesburg, en Afrique du Sud, du 23 au 24 février 2023, sera représenté par l'AfHEA en la personne de son directeur exécutif, le professeur John E. Ataguba.

Au cours de la première journée de l'atelier, des représentants de l'Union africaine, de l'AUDA-NEPAD et de l'ACB feront des remarques clés et le ministre sud-africain de la santé, le Dr Mathume Joseph Phaahla, procédera à l'ouverture officielle. Des discussions de groupe avec des représentants d'UNITAID, de l'OMS, de la BAfD et d'ONUSIDA, ainsi que des discussions de groupe, porteront sur la fabrication locale en Afrique et sur les quatre approches de la stratégie NextGen de création de marchés du Fonds mondial.

Le deuxième jour de l'atelier se poursuivra par la présentation en plénière des résultats des discussions de groupe et par l'examen du projet de déclaration de position sur la stratégie de formation du marché NextGen du Fonds mondial, et se terminera par la lecture de la déclaration finale par le groupe de travail Next Steps Africa.
