Brothers, Hope everyone is having a great week..
Just a quick update on plans for Mother's Day..
* We will be having practice for Choir this Friday, 4/26 at 7:00pm. Choir Director already allocated time for us to practice so please plan to be there on time. Ani, Sam, Ore and Dele are going play a major role in leading praise and worship. However, we need everyone that has volunteered to make time for practice.
Regards,
Well said. We will work on both..
To all my Ogas at d top...can we do both songs? We definitely want to honor our mums but thinking about it we r more likely to have our wives /fiances in audience than our mums so second song can address that aspect....just a thought. They dont have to be sung at same time.

Hey, If you guys feel thats best... Im not married to 'A song for Mama'. Im down. Its Mother's day after all.. not Dele's day...lol. 2 things... we have to run it by Tosin and secondly we have to make sure the band is able to play it, so we have to appeal to them as well.

The song lyrics are really powerful - its both a promise and a prayer....shows our focus is on d fam and it will probably resonate well with our women :)

Dele, can we also try song by Sanctus Real - "Lead Me" Below are the links to song and instrumental.
I understand that we have more folks willing to join with the consideration of this song. At least, we have options to work with...
Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow at 7pm.
Please remember this is a open-forum- so please share your thoughts.

Hello,
The Idea I have for the Special number is Boyz II Men 'A Song for Mama'. Here is the Youtube link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9TSxaDwd2I I have asked the band to learn how to play it and trust me its not that hard at it seems.

Greetings,
Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday, May 12th 2013 and as you all know it is our tradition to show our women how much they are appreciated. We want to thank everyone that volunteered on Sunday to be a part of this event. We understand that not everyone got the opportunity to volunteer on Sunday so please indicate if you want to take part of the items listed below for the event. We are looking forward to your contributions and ideas for this celebration.
We plan on meeting 3 Fridays at Church to rehearse Special Number and Praise/Worship Songs. We will start rehearsals this Friday, April 19th 2013 at 7:00pm.
Here are a list of ideas we have in plan:
Special Number: Bro Dele Fakindele has volunteered to coordinate the rendition of special number.
Comedy: Bro. Kevin has volunteered to do a comedic shit in appreciation of our women.
Praise/Worship: We are looking for a strong presence by Men to be a part of choir for Praise and Worship and Special number. We already have volunteers but the more the merrier. Volunteers will start meeting to practice over the next 3 Fridays.
Ushers: We already have 7 volunteers to help with ushering but hoping have at 3 more Ushers. Volunteers will have to be in church at 30 minutes before service starts for both services. Volunteers will help out with collating bulletins and ushering people in amongst other things directed by the Coordinator.
Color Code: Wear shirt or tie with element of Pink.
Also please note that Volunteers will need to be a part of both services. We appreciate your sacrifice to make this celebration one to be appreciated by our wonderful AHOW women
As always, all suggestions are welcome to ensuring we have a grand celebration. Please use this group mail to share ideas.
Regards,
Coordinators
