 • Health Accord '23 – Conference: Conducted by The Department of Hospital Administration, Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (GMC & H) and Association of Health and Hospital Administrators (AHHA).

• AHHA Alumni General Body Meeting & Elections

Minutes of the Meeting

➢ After the closure of the Health Accord 23 conference, all the members of AHHA met and appreciated the members involved in successfully conducting the Health Accord '23 – Conference.

➢ Dr. K.T. Reddy acted as Chairman and welcomed all the members for the AHHA

➢ Dr. K.T. Reddy spoke about the general body meeting and suggested to increase the membership in AHHA. He wanted to relinquish AHHA from active executive participation and

wanted new executive members.

➢ Later he requested Prof (Lt Col) Dayakar Thota to carry forward the proceedings of conducting

election for the office bearers of AHHA for the year 2023-24.

➢ Prof. Dayakar Thota highlighted the point that AHHA is entering its 25th year in September 2023

and this being the ‘Silver Jubilee’ year for AHHA, all the activities like enlarging the membership, conducting of conferences and student oriented one day workshops must be held regularly at a grand scale. He also pointed out that though we have entered the 25th year of inception, we do not own any office space or a stretch of land to construct one. He stressed on the one point agenda of getting a building or land allocated from the Telangana Government at the earliest. The aim of new office bearers should be to achieve this and he exhorted the members to elect persons who are capable and willing to pursue relentlessly this matter.

➢ He sought volunteers to take up this challenge and Dr Martha Ramesh and Prof Masood came forward to take over this responsibility and to stand for positions of President and Vice- President respectively. It was also suggested by the members to elect Dr C. Narender Kumar as the General Secretary, Dr V. Srinivas as Joint Secretary and Mrs. Vijaya Reddy of Apollo institute of Hospital Administration as the Treasurer.

➢ As on repeated enquiries, there were no other nominations forthcoming, so Prof Dayakar Thota declared the following members as elected unanimously for the positions mentioned against each

➢ Dr. Ramesh Martha thanked the previous committee and all the members of AHHA for being elected him unanimously as President of AHHA.

respected members

with regards to the establishment of a regular permanent office i have the following suggestion.

some office rooms are available in IMA koti office as  after the state bifurcation some offices were shifted to vijayawada and some associations have purchased huge commercial space and vacated.

iff it is acceptable to all we can try.

the chairman of the building trust dr.krishna reddy is well known to me.

i can coordinate.

the other person who can help is Dr.Pratap reddy trusty of ramdev hospital and well known to dr,dayaker.

this building has lot of advantages.

it has two large and one small conference halls with a/v/ facility

it has separate dining facility.

they hace regular caterer who dors good job.

they have 15 well furnished guest rooms at a very cheap rate for guest faculty.

the rent and advance is not much.

we can try this till we get a govt. land allotted to us.

suggestions are solicited.

Suggestion is good to have an office in IMA complex. I suggest Dr. KT Reddy can get the SWOT analysis of the place through a Sr Resident which can be reviewed by seniors in a meeting to take a final decision. In the meantime few seniors can visit the place to assess the utility of the place for AHHA. I wish to have an open mind on this issue.
