AHDI-SE Members and Friends,   We've had 33 responses to this survey since it was sent out Sunday evening.  It's important not only for those of you who are planning to attend, but for those of you who have reasons for NOT planning to attend, to give us your input regarding this year's annual retreat, as we will be using your responses to plan future face-to-face meetings.   Yep, that's right ... future face-to-face meetings.  Contrary to popular belief, our regional association will NOT be "going away" after this year's House of Delegates.  That being said, we need to move forward with programs, plans, meetings, and agendas that meet both AHDI's national association goals and, perhaps most importantly, the needs of the members in our multi-state area.  Our members have made it clear that they are interested in education, credentialing, the future of our careers, and professional fellowship.  What better way to explore those areas than through face-to-face meetings, where we can sit across the table from one another and talk about things that really matter to us as career medical information specialists?   So ... please log on and give us your input on this survey, even if you think we may not like what you have to say, and even if you think your voice is just one of many saying the same thing.  We want to hear from YOU.    Also, if you are part of the group that frequents our Facebook page, you may not actually live in our region (AL, GA, MS, and TN) but you are still our "customer" and can attend any and all events we have, whether they be virtual meetings (webinars, etc.) or face-to-face meetings at a hotel or retreat center.  So feel free to send the link forward to other MTs and professional colleagues you know and let's get some ideas kicked around.  As our BOD meets over the next few weeks (every other Thursday night, in case you would like to attend a meeting - let us know and we'll "save you a seat"), we will be looking at these answers and plotting a course for the future of AHDI-Southeast.  Even though this year's meeting may be held in a retreat center in one part of our region, next year's meeting may be in a hotel or other venue, and perhaps one located near you!  So your input is vital as we move forward.   Again, here's the link.  We have until Sunday evening at midnight to gather your thoughts, so fire up those keyboards and let us hear from you.   http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BG9HTVC
