Building Resilience in Young People Impacted by Domestic Violence
Webinar Wednesday, October 25th at 2pm
At some point in their lives, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men will be victimized by an intimate partner (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence; NCADV, 2015). This violence affects more than those directly involved in the relationship; 1 in 15 children is somehow exposed to domestic violence each year, with 90% of these children witnessing the violence firsthand (NCADV, 2015).

In recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), Mary Reynolds of Casa Central will present on the impact of domestic violence (DV) on children and adolescents who are exposed to DV, with a specific focus on building resilience.

Mary Reynolds, LCSW, ICDVP, I/ECMH-C, has been working in and around DV settings for 20 years. She started in 1997 doing shelter-based crisis intervention and support of children. Currently, she is the Deputy Director of Children and Youth Services at Casa Central. As such, she oversees the Early Learning Academy, School-Age Program, and the Violence Prevention & Intervention Program at Casa Central.
