FYI:

Hello Friend,

We're excited to introduce you to Luisa Sosa, the new Volunteer Coordinator for the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Luisa will ensure that we are able to get in touch with you directly in the near future to share how you can  get more directly involved in our efforts. We also want you to be aware of what is happening next Monday

We've seen record numbers in mass mobilizations and May 1st will be an opportunity for the immigrant movement to come out strong!

Don't miss your chance to take part in one of the biggest immigrant rights mobilization in recent history!  This is how you can help us make this happen:

  • Attend the May Day rally that will start at 1pm in Union Park (Lake and Ashland) this upcoming Monday, May 1st
  • Be Part of the ICIRR Crew: ICIRR allies and supporters will be meeting at Teamsters (Jackson and Ashland) at 12:30pm to march together to Union Park!
  • Help mobilize to advance pro-immigrant policies statewide: Volunteers are needed to collect postcards on May Day to help with our campaign to make Illinois welcoming by passing the Trust Act (SB 31). These postcards will be delivered to elected officials in Springfield throughout May. We are hoping to collect thousands of postcards with your help.

Can we count on you? Join our volunteers' conference call to Learn more:

We will hold 2 over the phone conference calls that will provide you with details and logistics regarding this volunteer opportunity!
  • Thursday 4/27 at 7pm CT
  • Saturday 4/29 at 12pm CT
** If you are unable to join either of these 2 conference calls, but will still like to help please reach out to me.

Our power comes from you. We hope you will join us!
