Come build community power with hundreds of Asian American, immigrant, and refugee leaders from PAVE- Pan Asian Voter Empowerment Coalition at the annual Asian American Action Day in Springfield, IL! Along with thousands of Illinoisans, the Asian American and immigrant community has endured destructive budget cuts to essential programs, services, and wages. Other issues that leaders will talk to decision makers about pushing for protections for immigrant communities through the Trust Act, passing an equitable budget, & passing the Automatic Voter Registration

This Asian American Heritage Month, let's celebrate with action by rallying for solutions to issues impacting our community. Between 5:30 - 6:30am, there will be several bus pick up locations in Chicago and Chicago suburbs. Buses will arrive in Springfield between 10am - 10:30am. The day will start with a rally in the capitol rotunda, followed by meetings with legislators and tours of the capitol.

Please RSVP with us now to be a part of this incredible annual event! You MUST RSVP to kten...@advancingjustice-chicago.org to reserve a seat on the bus.

Join us on Wednesday, May 17 from 10am to 3pm at the Illinois State Capitol for an Advocacy Day!

The Illinois Network of Centers for Independent Living (INCIL) staff, consumers, board members and allies are all invited to come to our State Capitol for an Advocacy Day to educate our state legislators about independent living and the need for a real state budget. We will also join together in a rally at 1:30 pm in the Rotunda to speak out on behalf of independent living!

Remember to wear ORANGE to show your support for independent living!
