| Introduction with GINA ROSS | Somatic Experiencing® / Emotional First Aid | Learn to heal trauma while you remain refreshed | | Jerusalem - July 16, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM | A research-proven method, SE® is a cutting-edge bio-psychological, body/mind-oriented therapy which introduces the body, the missing piece, in the healing of trauma. Uniquely, while it stands on its own, SE® can be integrated into all therapeutic methods. It is a compassionate technique; it allows therapists to take their clients through a gentle path in healing trauma, as well as to avoid burnout. This training is for mental health professionals (and civic leaders) interested in engaging and connecting through healing tools that can be spread in both Jewish and Arab Israeli communities. It can serve for healing and for civic encounters. Participants will learn the magnificent tools of SE®, and tools of communication emerging from deep healing. This special training in Somatic Experiencing® method and communication is designed to heal trauma, release stress and traumatic activation, develop resilience, and includes concepts of healing communication. | SOMATIC EXPERIENCING® (SE®) SE® is highly effective in healing PTSD from shock trauma and from developmental trauma and attachment issues, as well as anxiety disorders, depression, and phobias. Created by world renowned Dr. Peter Levine, SE® is taught worldwide. The course offers a sophisticated and multi-faceted approach, and is experiential in nature. SE® draws on the latest scientific findings from the fields of traumatology, biology, neurology, psychology, attachment theory and physiology. It includes the very exciting Steven Porges’ Poly Vagal theory and Alan Schore's research on trauma and attachment issues. SE® restores self-regulation and helps prevent trauma and develop resilience. In addition, clients can use SE® basic tools to release stress ON THE SPOT, anytime and anywhere. SE® taps into the unconscious through the body in a safe and contained manner, and works with symptoms of trauma held in implicit memory, without narrative. SE® treats all types of traumas, including war, natural disasters, car accidents, sexual, medical and birth trauma and chronic pain. It is very efficient with Holocaust survivors. SE® provides students with the knowledge and skills required to effectively treat PTSD, and traumatic stress from shock, as well as developmental trauma in a wide variety of clinical and educational settings. For psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, educational counselors, body workers and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, chiropractors etc. | ABOUT THE TRAINER Gina Ross, MFTT, is Founder and President of the International Trauma-Healing Institutes, ITI USA and ITI Israel.
