Maybe this post was anticipated by some people, but what can I say? I love this thing and I hope I can communicate why.

Freenet is a friend-to-friend communication and storage service that works entirely by doing operations with encrypted blocks of data, stores information redundantly so people can go offline after they publish content. The platform is very robust - I'm soon releasing a project that runs entirely on Freenet.

It's old, but so what? It's fucking amazing. You can create a complete communication system entirely with encrypted blocks and create psuedonyms who are authenticated with cryptographic keys. It's also obvious great for sharing files.

If you only share file keys with specific people, it is mathematically extremely difficult to see what is being transmitted or received as each 32KB block has its own AES key. There are forum systems, email and even a chat room(pretty slow honestly)!
