Hi Donnie,
Thanks so much for participating. Both AHA and Backyard Brains brought so much excitement and energy, it was awesome. In case you didn’t know, you also have a huge fan base/following among UMich students even among our volunteers!
We definitely are hoping to better spread the word about the event for next year and would love to tap into your members. We haven’t received the photos from our photographer yet, but as we do, we’ll upload them to our Flickr page, https://www.flickr.com/groups/makehealthum/pool/. Right now it’s just the photos from last year, but I’ll shoot you an email once they’re uploaded.
Cheers,
Emily

Emily,
The event turned out great! For most of my team (including myself) this our first time attending and if we can help it, it is not the last. I as glad to see the amount of interest All Hands Active and Backyard Brains received. I was wondering where you guys are planning on hosting the pictures from the event so that I may backlink to them in our members newsletter. It would be great for some of the members who did not attend to see what they were missing :)
Thanks,

Greetings!
We’re just a few days away from the 2nd annual We #MakeHealth Fest this Sunday, October 25th at the University of Michigan. We are very grateful for your contribution to this event and we’re excited to see you!
As an exhibitor and/or speaker, we have compiled some more information for you. Please carefully read this e-mail and the attached materials. Let us know if you have any questions and what we can do to help you prepare. Since there is some overlap amongst exhibitors and speakers, we’ve provided everything in one e-mail. Of course, there may be last minute changes as we still welcome late entries (http://bit.ly/makehealthexhibitor2015).
Exhibitors:
1. Please pre-register and electronically sign the Exhibitor Agreement form http://bit.ly/makehealth2015 *If you do not pre-register, we will obtain your signature at check-in
2. The full event schedule with exhibitor times is attached. Please let us know if there are any errors.
3. Set-up will be open at 9:00 am, but do not feel obligated to arrive that early, just make sure you give yourself enough time for set-up.
4. We will provide a table covering, small sign with your booth’s topic and information. There are electrical outlets scattered across the venue and free wifi is available. Please plan to bring anything else that you would like to have, such as extension cords/power strips, custom signage, easels, etc.
5. The Exhibitor Handbook is attached, please read before Sunday.
6. On Sunday, please first go to the Exhibitor/Speaker check-in table on the south side of the 4th floor of Palmer Commons.
Speakers:
1. Please pre-register http://bit.ly/makehealth2015 *If you do not pre-register, we will obtain your signature to photograph/record at check-in
2. The full event schedule with speaker times is attached. Please let us know if there are any errors as we will also post this on our website. We tried our best to accommodate special requests and include extra time in between speakers just in case there are technical issues or causes for delay.
a. This year, we will have a more open atmosphere with the speaker space in the same area (Great Lakes South), but without the wall enclosure. We hope this will make it easier for attendees to stop and listen to speakers.
b. An event volunteer will be in the back of the room with a timer to ensure we stick to the schedule. The timekeeper will wave colored paper with your 1 minute warning, and then another color when time is up.
2. For those who wish to include slides with your presentation (this is optional), please send us via e-mail or upload to the M+ box.com folder your presentation prior to the event.
a. The email address provided in your application should receive a separate email with the link to upload your presentation, https://umich.box.com/s/jtey3trt46m6aitjpj7r864jtq8nrd1j. Please let us know if you do not receive the separate email by this afternoon.
b. Important: We can only accept PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) or Keynote (.key) files; if you wish to show a Prezi, please send us the link in an email.
3. The attached Exhibitor Handbook also includes a small section with helpful tips to help you frame your presentation to our expected audience.
4. We will video record the speaker series in hopes that we will have the funding to later post publicly (YouTube) to reach a wider audience.
5. We plan to also archive slides and hopefully share with the public (Slideshare) to facilitate a broader conversation via social media and the blogosphere.
a. If you wish to not publicly share your slides, please let us know via e-mail in advance.
6. On Sunday, please first go to the Exhibitor/Speaker check-in table on the south side of the 4th floor of Palmer Commons.
See you on Sunday!
