As has been noted many times before, none of us really know what we're doing. Right now, we need to determine what do with regard to taxes. Our insurance agency is asking for a 2011 financial summary or our form 990. I have no idea what a form 990 is or when, where, and with what info we're to file it. We're also supposed to send a financial year summary to the Space Federation. And, we were talking about being our own 501c3. Therefore: action items.
1) Josh and Jenn
Can you please schedule a time this coming Monday or Tuesday to go over March finances so we can have them in hand for review at the next board meeting? If a 2011 financial summary already exists, please link it into this thread.
2) Sleepynate
You used to work for Direct Incorporation. Is there anyone there we can ping with a question on what we're supposed to file as an organization? This is something we need to determine very soon.
3) Cucumber
You volunteered 2 board meetings back to read through the federal 501c3 filing requirements and get back to us with whether it seemed like a viable and prudent thing to do. Any update on that?
4) Ox
You started re-doing the website. Can you please to set yourself a deadline and finish all of it (restructuring content and re-doing CSS to make it prettier)?
5) Neonate
Can you help Ox and also throw an instance of Media Wiki into the log-in bits so that more members can interact with our web presence more meaningfully?
6) Me
Tell me what I need to do in all of this and I will help.
