Anyone know of any local businesses that would be willing to donate fabric/yarn/things to make stuff for victims of the hurricane? Thinking of making this and next week's Build Night at AHA themed so we can contribute to the relief effort but need supplies.

We could teach this Thursday on how to make stuff, maybe kick some stuff out, then next week, finish some stuff up and then send it out Friday morning. I'm thinking blankets/scarves/hats but could be other things as well, as long as we can try to mass produce it.

I don't know about donations, but just as a reminder there's an AHA All Craft gathering on Saturday the 4th from 4-6. I'll be there to assist, encourage, whatever.

So I could not find an organization that takes objects as donations... BUT!!!!

I have a friend that works at the Delonis Center and she informs me that they would "absolutely love contributions to distribute."

So I think we should pursue this. I will get in contact with some local businesses and such to find contributions for supplies, and will be planning a few choice nights in which to make like a crazy person. I believe tonight we will start, and will probably go until Thanksgiving so our contributions start helping out as soon as weather gets unbearable.

More details to come! Stay tuned
