They stated that our position does not reflect vote count at all yet
(although she wouldn't divulge if it was based no actual votes when we
were ranked 140). She also said it might be a couple days until they
feel the rankings reflect votes accurately enough to release rankings
reflecting vote count.
So don't be discouraged by our perpetual 140 position!

Being someone who has unlimited texts (Verizon sales girl, you are a sly

Questions:
1. What should the app be called?
2. Any graphics we can provide?
3. Any centralized code repos where this would preferably be maintained?
Thanks for your help everyone!

We have one 5-minute slot at the next http://a2newtech.org meetup that
I was holding for the Maker Shop guys (Dale Grover and Tom Root's
TechShop competitor), but if you guys are ready to go, let's have you
do it (but I need to know in the next two days). The 1300+ a2newtech
attendees are a good bet for installs - we did see a good bump in
a2skatepark installs from just mentioning it there.
Also, so I'm clear - this is a different project than what Kyle Lawson
and the otyp.es/speakscience.org guys are up to?

Nima, did you ever meet up with Kyle (who I've been trying to get to
meet you guys at a2newtech or at the ahashop)?
All of you guys need to meet Andrew Raupp at Initiative Science
(http://www.facebook.com/pages/Initiative-Science/) and Keith Bourne
at Arbor Scientific (http://www.arborsci.com/) also. They've both been
by Beer:30 at the Tech Brewery looking for groups like Backyard Brains
(just down the street from AHA), etc. to work with.
Keep hacking!
I'll watch the thread for resonance with other AHA members and we'll
discuss as it will take a bit of planning, but I'm guessing we'd jump
at the opportunity :)
Thanks!
Jared
I'm planning to attend the meetup, and if there's a chance to plug our
Pepsi grant that would be great. It's more about getting this idea
out there than wining this particular grant, but no reason to give up
on it entirely just yet either.
Anyway, i'll watch for you at the meetup, and am hoping to meet the
other "Hello World" folks too!
