Hello all!

We had another board meeting! You can see our agenda/minutes here: http://wiki.allhandsactive.com/14_NOV_2012_Board_Meeting_Agenda .

Briefly: we got some organizational formalities out of the way with the state, had a quick followup on last week's action items.  Of note, we are trying to find some non-profit-oriented legal help regarding the handful of remaining 501c3 questions we have, and an accountant who might be able to help us in case we can't become a 501c3 in time and need to file taxes for previous years.  If you are a such a person, or can vouch for anyone who might be able to help, please get in touch!

Some good news: we are in a much better position financially for December.  A hearty thanks to our awesome members, and another *huge* thank you to all who have donated, going above and beyond to help us be one of the best DIY/enthusiast/educational resources in town!  This is some humbling momentum; but there's still work to do -- we are certainly not out of the woods yet.

We need to get and keep around 20 new members (assuming most pay the $50/mo. rate) to thrive, i.e. continue improving the space and becoming even more wonderful, without any outside assistance.  I think this is achievable, but probably not in the next couple of months when we will need the money the most.  This being the case, we are looking for any well-established, sympathetic organizations/persons who would be willing to help with donations to help keep us above the water until we can make this goal.  The board will continue working diligently to reach out to anyone it can think of for financial assistance, and we are attending more events around town to raise public awareness so we will never again hear the phrase "I never even realized this place existed!".  :)

Thanks for your attention (and support!).  Throw your questions or comments down under this here thread!

Cheers,
-- Nate Y.
