Free power wheelchair to a good home

Hey Makers,

      I have two power wheelchairs to go to a good home, even if that home will tear them to pieces. They need batteries at least and I don't know what else.  One in in like new condition but was manufactured in 2012, the model sticker says EDGE 20, the other is older freestyle model by Quickie.  These are both center drive wheel models with 4 outward smaller wheels. Great platform for a robotics project.  What would YOU make out of something like this?
